Game Information
Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony (official abbreviation TBoGT) is the second episode of two downloadable add-ons for Grand Theft Auto IV. It is the fourth expansion pack in the Grand Theft Auto series and the fourteenth release in the series. It was released on October 29, 2009. The PlayStation 3 and PC versions were later released on April 13, 2010 in North America and on April 16, 2010 in Europe.
The protagonist is Luis Fernando Lopez, a part-time hoodlum and full-time assistant to legendary nightclub impresario Tony Prince. The storyline intertwines with the original game and first episode, most notably the Museum Piece mission that involves all three protagonists. As well as a new storyline, missions, and characters, it also features new game mechanics, vehicles, weapons, side missions, collectibles and achievements/trophies. As with The Lost and Damned, new radio and in-game television programming is included. The game is also the first game in the series to implement a scoring system for missions.
Set concurrently with the events of Grand Theft Auto IV and The Ballad of Gay Tony, The Lost and Damned follows the exploits of Johnny Klebitz, vice-president of the Liberty City chapter of The Lost MC, a motorcycle club which, along with himself, feature in a number of missions in both games. The main storyline of the episode focuses on Johnny’s efforts to keep the chapter running, while dealing with internal conflicts, gang warfare, drug running, and various enemies. The episode portrays Johnny’s perspective in the storylines of the blood diamonds and heroin, which are depicted from the other protagonists’ perspectives in Grand Theft Auto IV and The Ballad of Gay Tony.
The Complete Edition includes Grand Theft Auto IV and the Episodes – The Lost and Damned & The Ballad of Gay Tony.
